What I loved about this package of stories: It gives a group of athletes who probably don't get their moment in the spotlight the chance to be treated like stars. I loved the back stories of all the players, and it's clear that a tradition is being continued with a great deal of passion.

The photographer caught the moment each player slides across the turf on one foot with both anticipating catching the ball, with one denied. Nice catch for the defense and the photographer.

This publication, serving the Cherokee community, includes items unique to the interests of the tribal members, such as tracking federal legislation that might effect them. That stuck out to me as unique community coverage, in addition to the many other stories specific to the tribe.
